Wedding Cake Inquiry

Thank you for choosing L'Atelier for your wedding cake order! We are excited to bring your vision to life. Please read through ALL of our policies to ensure a smooth and seamless experience.

1. Order Placement

- Wedding cake orders require at least 2 months advance notice. This allows us to ensure the cake is designed to your specifications and to accommodate our schedule.
- 30% non-refundable deposit is required upfront to confirm all wedding cake orders. We will not begin any work on the cake until the full payment is received.
- For orders of $500 and above, we offer payment plans. Please contact us for more information about payment plan options.
- For orders placed with less than 2 months notice, we will do our best to accommodate you but cannot guarantee availability or the design you request.

2. Our Design Specialization

- We exclusively specialize in minimalistic yet aesthetically-pleasing designs such as Velvet, Floral, and Lambeth/Vintage Cake Designs. Please refer to our website, Pinterest, or Instagram for design examples and inspiration.
- Each of our cakes is uniquely hand-created and decorated. Therefore, it is virtually impossible to reproduce an exact same design. We highly value ingenuity and artistic integrity; as such, we do not copy the designs of other cake makers. Photos provided are always for inspiration and guidance only, and we may adapt them to suit the style and flavor of our bakery.
- Color adjustments: If you have specific colors in mind, please provide details when placing the order. We will do our best to match the colors as closely as possible. Please note that due to limitations in handwork and cake decorating materials, slight variations in shade may occur (white being ivory, black being a dark matted grey).

3. Flavors & Fillings

- You may choose from our list of available flavors and fillings. If you wish to request a specific flavor or filling not listed, we will do our best to accommodate you. However, specialty flavors or ingredients may require an additional charge.
- All of our cakes are layered with either a light cream cheese frosting or a vanilla buttercream depending on the cake flavor and availability.
- The exterior frosting is a thick and firm layer of white chocolate ganache made to keep the actual cake inside fresh and moist. It does not affect the flavor for the interior of the cake but please keep this in mind for your cake-cutting ceremony.

4. Allergen Information

- All cakes are made in a kitchen that handles common allergens such as dairy, eggs, gluten, nuts, and soy. If you or your guests have specific dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance. We offer some allergen-friendly options but cannot guarantee complete allergen-free cakes due to cross-contamination risks.

5. Cake & Servings

- Please ensure that you choose the appropriate size for your event. If you're unsure of the size, we can help guide you based on the number of guests and type of event.
- Serving sizes are estimates. Exact servings may vary depending on the size and style of the cake.
- Most of our cakes are 5-6" tall. Special requests are welcome.

6. Delivery & Pickup

- We offer delivery within a 30miles radius for an additional fee. Delivery fees are calculated based on distance and the complexity of the delivery.
- “Delivery & Setup” means that we will deliver your cake, unbox it, and set it up ourselves at your dedicated cake stand/area. Prices for both options vary based on the size of your order and your location.
- Pickup is available during business hours.

7. Refunds & Cancellations

The cake cost portion of your order is non-refundable unless the entire cake can be returned. Please review our refund & cancellation policy here

8. Photographs & Marketing

- We love sharing the joy our cakes bring! By placing an order, you give us permission to photograph your cake for marketing and promotional purposes, including on social media and our website. If you prefer not to have your cake photographed, please let us know in advance.

9. Emergency Situations and Force Majeure

- We make every effort to ensure the highest quality and timely delivery of your cake. However, in the event of extreme weather, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances, we may need to reschedule or cancel your order. If this happens, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer a full refund or rescheduling option.
