I used to work in aerospace - where one millimeter could change the trajectory of a launch.
Everything was measured, calibrated, calculated.
I walked away from all of it to build something entirely different…
Not a program. Not a mission. A feeling.
I wanted to create a space where things didn’t just function - they mattered.
Where precision still had a place, but this time it spoke in buttercream edges, linen textures, quiet tasting tables, and the way a bride exhales when she sees her cake for the first time.
L’ATELIER isn’t just a bakery. It’s a studio for your most special moments, especially for couples getting married here in DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland, or for people who want more than a cake or dessert… they want a memory crafted with intention.
When you step into the studio for your tasting, I don’t rush. I set the table slowly. I align the forks twice even if they’re already straight.
