What is the best way to order a cake from L'Atelier?
Ordering a cake from L'Atelier Bakery is such a seamless experience.
Simply browse through, click on your desired cake design, select your size preference and your desired flavor. Proceed to add to cart, fill out your info (zip code and delivery/pickup date). Checkout and submit your order.
Our dedicated team will contact you via phone or text to confirm your order.

How far in advance should I place my order?
- All cake orders need to be placed at least 10 days before the desired pickup or delivery date;
- Tasting Boxes need an average lead time of 7 days;
- For our other Signature Desserts, we recommend placing your order at least 3 days ahead to ensure availability.
What is your pickup process?
Because we're currently running the show from home sweet home, our exact pickup location isn't disclosed online.
The address provided on our website and during Checkout is a very close approximation given to help you estimate and plan accordingly (walking distance from the exact pickup location).
Once your order is ready for pickup, an email containing the exact address will be sent to you.
Please let us know when you have arrived and we will bring you your delicious baked goods!

How can I request a custom cake design?

Do you deliver?
Yes, we offer Local Delivery (within 20mi of Tysons Corner 22102). Delivery prices vary from $15-$40 depending on your location.

What is your cancellation policy?
At L'Atelier Bakery, we strive to provide our customers with the highest quality products and services. We understand that plans may change, and sometimes cancellations are necessary. Below is our cancellation and refund policy for all orders placed at L'Atelier:
Cancellation Time-frame:
- Custom cake orders must be cancelled at least 10 days before the scheduled pickup date to be eligible for a refund.
- Other baked goods must be cancelled at least 7 days before the scheduled pickup or delivery date.
If a cancellation is made within the 7 or 10-day window prior to the pickup date, we may not be able to provide a full refund. However, we will assess each case individually and may offer a partial refund or store credit depending on the circumstances.
Refund Process:
To request a cancellation and refund, please contact us as soon as possible via info@latelierbakery.com. Provide your order details, including the order number and pickup date.
Refunds will be issued using the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed upon.
Exceptions:
In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, severe weather conditions, or other emergencies, we may provide a full refund or reschedule the order at no additional cost.
Changes to Orders:
We understand that minor adjustments may be necessary even after placing an order. Please contact us at least 72 hours before the scheduled pickup date to request any changes to your order. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but please note that significant changes may incur additional charges.
No-show Policy:
Failure to pick up your order without prior notice will result in forfeiture of the payment, and no refund or credit will be issued.
Quality Guarantee:
If you are dissatisfied with the quality of your order, please contact us immediately upon pickup or delivery. We will work with you to address any concerns and ensure your satisfaction.
How should I consume your baked goods for optimal freshness?
Cakes & Cupcakes should always be consumed at room temperature. You may take it out of the fridge at least 30min before you're ready to enjoy. Leftovers can be stored in the original cake box or in an airtight container then kept in the refrigerator for up to 3-7 days (cakes with edible flowers need to be consumed within 2 days of reception).
Crème Brûlée: best way to enjoy this amazing dessert is as soon as you receive it. If you're not ready to enjoy it yet, cover the ramekins in plastic wrap (or keep it them in the box they came in) & keep in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours after reception. (please note that the crust will not be crusty anymore after a maximum of 2 hrs).
Madeleines can be stored in their original box or in an airtight container in the fridge or at room temperature for up to 2 days.
To store your Flan Pâtissier, cover it with plastic wrap or place it in an airtight container (or the box provided by us) in the refrigerator. Consume within 2-3 days for optimal freshness.
